We walk past it and follow the path until we reach the Obersee. We follow the path along its shore, which becomes somewhat uneven, mainly due to tree roots.. which we take and turn right towards Röthbachfall. The path leads us slightly uphill and unprotected by the sun. We then descend a little across a meadow until we reach the foothills.

The Röthbachfall or Röthbach wasserfall is the highest waterfall in Germany with a total drop of 470 meters. The waterfall is located south of Berchtesgaden in the region Bayern, Germany.. Mit einer gesamten Fallhöhe von 470 Metern ist der Röthbachfall der höchste Wasserfall Deutschlands. Erreichen kann man den Röthbachfall über die Fischunkelalm am Obersee. Dazu muss man natürlich erst mit dem Schiff über den Königssee fahren bis zur Saletalm, und sich dann auf den Weg um den Obersee machen.

Keep following the trail along the banks of the Obersee until you reach the other side and keep hiking. In total, the hike from the boathouse to Röthbachfall is roughly a mile (1.6km).
